Refund & Return Policy

At Ameya Studio, every piece is handcrafted with care and attention to detail. Because many of our products involve artisanal processes and limited-batch production, returns are handled thoughtfully and within defined guidelines.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

1. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return or exchange if:

  • The product is damaged during transit
  • You received an incorrect item
  • There is a genuine manufacturing defect

To be eligible:

  • The request must be made within 48 hours of delivery
  • The product must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition
  • All original tags and packaging must be intact
  • An unboxing video is strongly recommended for damage claims

Requests made after 48 hours will not be accepted.

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Products purchased during sale or promotional offers
  • Custom-stitched or altered garments
  • Made-to-order pieces
  • Gift cards
  • Minor irregularities in handwoven or hand-painted fabrics (these are natural characteristics of handcrafted textiles, not defects)

If you expect machine-perfect uniformity, handcrafted textiles may not be suitable for you.

3. Return Process

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us via phone within 48 hours of delivery.
  2. Share your order number and clear images of the product.
  3. Once approved, return instructions will be provided.

Do not ship products back without confirmation. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

4. Refund Policy

  • Once the returned product is received and inspected, we will notify you of approval or rejection.
  • If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
  • Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable.
  • In certain cases, we may offer store credit instead of a monetary refund.

Refund timelines depend on banking and payment gateway processing times.

5. Exchange Policy

  • Exchanges are subject to product availability.
  • If the requested item is unavailable, store credit may be issued.
  • Customers may be responsible for return shipping charges unless the error was on our part.

6. Cancellations

Orders can be cancelled only if:

  • The cancellation request is made before dispatch.

Once shipped, the order cannot be cancelled.

7. Damaged or Lost Shipments

If the package appears tampered with or damaged at the time of delivery:

  • Do not accept the parcel.
  • Inform us immediately.

If an item is lost in transit, we will coordinate with the courier partner. Resolution will depend on the courier investigation outcome.
